June 24, 2002 Bwahahahaha! Check it out: the Duran Duran cover contest. Some of these are really great! Now, I'm not supposed to tell you to vote for anyone in particular, but, well, see....the 7th Stranger cover by Shrewd Latexx is...well...pretty cool, I think. We-I-mean THEY replaced the guitar solo with a piano and it's rather lovely. It's a pleasant reinterpretation, methinks....Besides, we-I-mean THEY were only one out of two groups to cover something that wasn't a hit. I mean, aren't you tired of all the "Girls on Film" and "Rio" and "View to a Kill" covers? It's also the only track with female vocals! *grin* Anyway, cast a vote. And if you like the 7th Stranger cover, vote for it. Please?
